Jenica Smith strongly believes food plays an integral part on one’s health. Smith is a nutrition specialist who received a bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences (Nutrition & Dietetics) from California State University, Northridge. Smith has a background coordinating community-based nutrition education programs aimed at obesity and disease prevention, promoting a balance eating pattern, and increasing food literacy through creative and effective engagement. Smith is passionate about boosting wellness and preventing disease in individuals and communities by changing people’s relationship with food, mentoring dietetics students, and advocating for food justice. At home, she loves to create deliciously nutritious meals full of color and globally inspired flavors.
